Shutesbury trustees approve library annual report
Library Trustees · Meeting of September 14, 2026
Shutesbury Library Trustees approve annual report, review lingering building repairs. The six-member board, Elizabeth, Pam, Michelle, Brad, Kate and Ann, voted unanimously, 6-0, to approve May and July minutes and the library's fiscal year annual report. Library Director Marianne reported a rebuilt stormwater outlet, pending lighting-control and outlet repairs, and a sliding door still rubbing against carpet due to a flooring installation gap.
Trustees asked Marianne to begin tracking meeting-room usage by town government and outside groups for next year's report, saying "the library is more than the books and the circulation." The library will host a Healey-Driscoll administration listening session on the state's energy facility siting bylaw October 26, and volunteers have begun hand-planting native species in a wetland meadow using an auger as part of a Conservation Commission mitigation agreement.
