Community Preservation Committee · Meeting of October 14, 2026
SHUTESBURY — The Shutesbury Community Preservation Committee unanimously adopted its updated Community Preservation Plan, setting new deadlines of December 10 for eligibility determinations and February 4 for grant applications. The seven-member committee voted 7-0 by roll call to approve the plan, which softens language requiring matching funds for projects, after a member warned against excluding worthwhile projects "because it didn't have matching funding." The committee also approved minutes from its September 24 meeting, 6-0, and heard an update on affordable housing coordinator Mariah Kurtz's work listing a West Pelham Road Habitat House on the state's subsidized housing inventory. A special town meeting Saturday includes a committee-sponsored article to close out a $10,000 balance from the R-15 West Quabbin Woods grant.
